2022 Meetings

In 2022 all meetings except outside activities are to be held in the Sawyer Hall, Christ Church, Newmarket Road, Nailsworth unless otherwise indicated.

Annual membership is £10 and covers all groups.

The 2022 charge per meeting is £2 for members and £5 for non-members.
Guests are welcome.

RAMBLING GROUP

Rambles take place on the 4th Thursday of the month, February to November inclusive.

We meet outside the Library at 9.30am – see the Notice Board in the Library foyer, website or Facebook for details of each walk, one week beforehand.  Transport to the start of the walk is available for those who require it. We walk at a comfortable pace, distance about 5 miles, ending at a pub for lunch.

Nov 26th    (Saturday) Ramblers’ Supper and AGM at 7pm in the Parish Rooms.

 

CREATIVE WRITING GROUP  “TELL-TALES”

Group Leader:    Tony Anhoury (01453 834927)

Meets on the first Wednesday of the month at participants’ homes. Subject of each session is agreed between members and material can be short stories, prose, poetry or drama. Occasional tutorials held. Public performances of material will be announced during the year.

 

PERFORMING ARTS (THEATREGOERS)

Visits to a variety of different performances are arranged during the year. These include plays in various genres – crime, comedy and classic as well as shows such as musicals and dance including ballet. There may also be the possibility of going to classical concerts during 2022. Discounts are often available as these are group bookings.  When going to regional events transport is provided by minibus or coach and the cost shared between those attending. Early booking is recommended to fit in with venues group booking deadlines.
