Meet outside Nailsworth Library at 9.30am, lifts available.

AVENING

We will drive to Avening, parking near the school. Mike Harvey will take us on a 4½ mile walk. The route takes us up to Gatcombe and the new Golf Course, returning via Nagshead and Star Farm. Steep sections – up and down – and a few stiles.

£1 per walker.
Sorry, no dogs.

Lunch after at Egypt Mill, Nailsworth
We will choose from their lunch menu on the day.

October RG – Painswick Beacon & Holcome

Meet outside Nailsworth Library at 9.30am

Lifts available.

PAINSWICK – BEACON- HOLCOMBE

We will drive to the Painswick Golf Club to start our ramble, and climb to the Painswick Beacon to take in the views. Down then through Holcombe Farm and through the valley below the Rococo Gardens, before returning to the Golf Club.

Some climbs up and down to be expected, with a few stiles.
2.5 hours walking, approx. 4½ miles.

Lunch after at ‘Hortons’ restaurant, Painswick Golf Club
Orders to be taken on the day.

August RG – Epney and Longney

Ramblers Group

9.30am outside the Library, lifts are available

Epney and Longney

 

We will drive to The Anchor at Epney from where Angie and Roger will lead us on a 5 mile walk.

The route takes us along the side of the River Severn to Longney, and back through woods and meadows. A flat walk with just a few stiles, and some long grass. Binoculars useful to identify birds if low tide.

Lunch after the walk at The Anchor, Epney.
