Uley, Cam Long Down, Uley Bury

Angela & Jane will lead a 5.5 mile walk starting in the village of Uley. The route takes us through fields and footpaths around the base of Downham Hill, then up to the top of Cam Longdown with it’s far reaching views. Steep climbs up and down before final long, steep climb up to Uley Bury, before descending again to the village.

Some paths are likely to be wet and muddy so stout footwear essential and stick useful.

John and Sally will lead us on a 5½ mile ramble, starting at The Butchers Arms, in Sheepscombe. There will be a couple of steep climbs, several gates, but no stiles. Muddy in places.

February RG – Woodchester Park

Woodchester Park

For our first ramble of the year, Mike Harvey will take us on a 4-5 mile walk starting from the car park at Woodchester Priory. Some steep paths to get into the park, but then mainly flat, walking through fields and along pathways, which are likely to be muddy and slippery in places. We will see the Mansion and the Boat House as well as the lakes.

Lunch after at The Minchinhampton Old Course Club House.
