Welcome to the Local Studies Group
The Local Studies Group covers a wide range of topics, not just of relevance
to the immediate Nailsworth area but within the county as a whole. So, a year's programme may include items on the social, industrial or natural
history of the area, not forgetting literary associations too.
Most talks are illustrated and there are usually two outside events each summer which
may involve a town or village walk, a geological excursion or a plant hunt for example.
We hope to provide something different to attract you to the Mortimer Room
on the 4th Monday evening on at least eight months a year!
