Welcome to Local History Research
The purpose of this group is to encourage research into local history
and to learn about the work that is ongoing and that has been completed.
Meetings are held on the second Monday of most months and usually take
place in the Mortimer Room adjacent to the public library in Nailsworth.
They begin at 7.30pm and last about two hours.
Society members pay £1 per meeting, non members £3.
There are also visits to places of local interest.
The Group usually participates in the Gloucestershire
Local History Committee’s annual competitive exhibition.
An invitation is offered by Cotswold Archaeology to their annual lecture.
